Terms of service
About these terms
These terms govern your use of this website and summarize how engagements with taxifi inc. ("taxifi") work. Client engagements are governed by the engagement letter you sign with us; if these terms and your engagement letter conflict, the engagement letter wins.
Our services
taxifi provides monthly bookkeeping, payroll processing, HST return preparation and filing, and year-end corporate tax (T2) preparation and filing for incorporated Canadian businesses, as monthly plans or standalone annual year-end engagements. Artificial intelligence assists with daily categorization, matching, and balancing. All filings and professional advice are reviewed and approved by a Canadian accountant. Nothing on this website is professional advice until we are engaged and have reviewed your specific situation.
Fees
Services are billed at a flat monthly fee scoped and quoted on a discovery call. Engagements are month to month, with no long-term contract. Catch-up bookkeeping, where needed, is scoped and billed as a one-time project. If a lasting change in your business requires a fee change, we will discuss it with you before anything changes.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate and complete information, and respond to requests for documents or clarification in reasonable time.
- Maintain the account connections that allow us to do the daily work.
- Review the reports and filings we prepare for you and tell us promptly if something looks wrong.
- Remain responsible, as the taxpayer, for the accuracy of information you provide and for paying amounts owing to tax authorities.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, taxifi's total liability arising from an engagement is limited to the fees you paid us for the services giving rise to the claim in the twelve months preceding it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law or professional standards.
